      The CBAA was founded in 1961 and is based in the Ocean View

area of Norfolk, Virginia. It is the only art group in the area to award

at least one scholarship each year to a high school senior who plans

to continue their education in the field of art.

          The CBAA also organizes two annual shows: a Members-

Only Spring  Show in May, and an Outdoor Art Show at the Ocean

View Park in  August, though this year it is being held in October.

          Members of the  CBAA meet monthly and share experiences  

and information, as well as give demonstrations in their

particular  medium. They develop relationships with their

fellow  artists and  gain opportunities to promote their art.

        Throughout the year, the club seeks various venues in which the

 member's can participate in to increase sales, promote charities, and

 enrich the public's awareness of art.
