Scholarship

Since its inception the Chesapeake Bay Art Association has offered a scholarship to a local high school graduate to aid them in continuing their art studies in college.  Charter member Mr. John B. Tenney began fund raising efforts by donating one of his paintings for auction.  Due to Mr. Tenney’s efforts and support the tradition of raising funds for the scholarship grew and expanded to become part of all CBAA shows.

Upon his death in 1989, the members of the CBAA renamed the fund the “John B. Tenney Memorial Scholarship Fund” in his honor.  The scholarship is presented at our annual Spring Members Show.
